These Terms govern your access to and use of pkgprobe (the "Software") and the pkgprobe website and services. By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these Terms.
1. Licence
Subject to your active entitlements, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software. The base app is a one-time purchase; feature packs and the CLI add-on are provided under their respective one-time or subscription terms as shown at purchase. Enterprise seats are licensed per activated machine under a separate order.
2. Free trial
New users receive a 7-day free trial with all features enabled, no payment method required. One trial per email address. When the trial ends, the app continues to launch but paid capabilities are locked until you purchase.
3. Billing & subscriptions
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you selected (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period. Applicable taxes are handled by the Merchant of Record.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Circumvent licensing, entitlement, or activation controls;
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Software except as permitted;
- Reverse engineer the Software except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
- Use the Software to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.
5. No warranty on findings
pkgprobe reports known vulnerabilities and policy signals on a best-effort basis using third-party data sources. It does not guarantee detection of every vulnerability, misconfiguration, or malicious package. The Software is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Security decisions remain your responsibility.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, pkgprobe and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Software.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Software ends; sections that by their nature should survive (licence restrictions, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the website or the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
